Born to Bishop Dr. Artglee Musgrove and Apostle Dr. Almada Musgrove in Freeport Bahamas on June 25th, 1969, Dr. Sherelean Bass is the 5th of 7 children. Dr. Bass received her primary education in The Turks and Caicos Islands and her secondary education at St. Anthony Sr. High School in Barbados, BWI. She was raised in a home that practiced a strong Christian faith which taught her the values and morals of life that she exemplifies today.

Dr. Bass has always been actively involved in matters concerning her local community and has served in various capacities with awarded excellence. To her credit, Dr. Bass has served with Community Action Agency of Miami-Dade County; The Miami-Dade Public Schools Parent Advisory Council…North Region (Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson); District Advisory Council (Vice-Chairperson and Parliamentarian); National Coalition of Title 1 (Treasurer); The American Heart Association (Advocate). E’Arron Haley Foundation, “NOT TEXT” is worth a life (Advocate). International Chaplain Association (Member); Parent Teacher Association (Board Member); She has attended numerous (NCLB) No Child Left Behind workshops and conferences across the nation.

In addition, Dr. Bass is continually active in her spiritual journey, serving as The Cooperate Vice-President, an Elder and The Women’s Ministry President at her church, Jesus Christ is Lord Miracle Deliverance Center. (JCILMDC). Dr. Bass is also a loved and cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. She resides the great City of Opa-Locka for the past there decades.

Dr. Bass is currently employed by the Miami Dade County Public School System as a Community Liaison Specialist. She holds an Associate Degree in Biblical Theological Studies from Smith Christian University. She also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Practical Ministry and Counseling, graduating in the Top 10% in her class, and a Doctorate Degree in Biblical Christian Counseling. Apart from her certifications in Anger Management and Faith Based Domestic Violence Training, she is also a Licensed Chaplain and Minister in The State OF Florida. Dr. Bass holds more than 25 educational certificates of achievement from Beacon Educator and a certificate for Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University College of Business.
The Commissioner, Dr. Sherelean Bass, was recently recognized and honored as one of Legacy Miami’s most influential Black Women. She has also been given the prestigious Eagle Wings award for her excellence. This comes with countless other awards, of recognition and appreciation.
