The Information Technology (IT) Department is an internal support organization that works with the implementation and support of all technology for City departments. The IT Department is dedicated to bringing state-of-the-art technology to the City in order to achieve high productivity and cost effectiveness.
The IT Department is responsible for the design and maintenance of the entire City network and infrastructure that links the various City departments, buildings, and mobile users together. This also includes supporting the many computers, printers, plotters, and IP-based devices which allow the various departments to daily serve our constituents.
IT provides for the secure interdepartmental sharing of information and applications, which allow the City to function efficiently on a day-to-day basis. IT also maintains the many databases that City departments use, including financials, building and licensing, police, and others, providing 99.9% uptime and security for the data they contain.
