Neighborhood Improvement Program

About the Program

The neighborhood strategy applies a model block approach, which focuses on the interdependency of services to meet the needs of the community while revitalizing underdeveloped areas of the City. To learn more about the program, contact the Community Development Department at (305) 953-2868 option 5.

Our vision is to build livable neighborhoods that are safe, inclusive, and well-organized, and that offer a quality of life that is good for all.

Basic Principles

Improving neighborhoods is not just the responsibility of city government. It is a community-driven partnership that involves a collective participation of government, the residents, and businesses. It is an effort that capitalizes on the existing strengths and takes advantage of unique opportunities to make the changes necessary to build livable neighborhoods.
